ORDINANCE 2014 -3
AN ORDINANCE REPLACING REFERENCES TO TOWN ADMINISTRATOR TO TOWN MANAGER THROUGHOUT TOWN CODE
WHEREAS, in 2006, the Town Council for the Town of Leo-Cedarville, Indiana (“Town Council”) adopted Ordinance No. 2006-08 creating the position of Town Administrator; and
WHEREAS, in 2011, the Town Council adopted Ordinance No. 2011-04 creating the position of Town Manager, which took over all of the duties of the Town Administrator position, plus additional duties; and
WHEREAS, Several older ordinances codified in the Town Code refer to the Town Administrator and assign duties to the Town Administrator; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Town Council to clarify any confusion.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LEO-CEDARVILLE, INDIANA;
Section 1. Any reference in the Town of Leo-Cedarville Code of Ordinances to “Town Administrator” shall be read to mean “Town Manager”.
Section 2. All former duties of the “Town Administrator” are hereby assigned to the “Town Manager” unless such duties are expressly assigned to a different officer, employee, or agent of the Town by other ordinance.
Section 3. All parts of previous ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of said conflict.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on the date that it is both signed by the Town Council President and published as required by State law.
