ORDINANCE 2006-06

AN ORDINANCE PLACING CERTAIN THREE WAY STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF ALTA VISTA DRIVE, AND MICHAEL DRIVE and RIO VISTA DRIVE AND MICHAEL DRIVE IN THE TOWN OF LEO-CEDARVILLE

WHEREAS, Indiana Code Section 9-21-1-3 allows the Town of Leo-Cedarville to regulate the flow of traffic, to alter speed limits, and to designate intersections within the Town’s corporate borders; and

WHEREAS, there exists in the Town of Leo-Cedarville, a street named Michael Drive running between, and perpendicular to, Grabill Road and Rio Vista Drive.

WHEREAS, the council has determined a need for stop signs to control traffic as it enters onto and exits from Michael Drive;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of Leo-Cedarville, Indiana:

A.       It shall be required for all vehicular traffic to stop at a three way stop located at the intersection of Michael Drive and Rio Vista Drive.

B.       It shall be required for all vehicular traffic to stop at a three way stop located at the intersection of Michael Drive and Alta Vista Drive.

B.C     This ordinance shall repeal and replace any prior ordinance that is inconsistent with this Ordinance.

C.D     This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and upon its execution by the Town Executive as attested by the Clerk-Treasurer, and upon the placement of a proper traffic control sign at such intersections.

Passed and adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Leo-Cedarville, Indiana on this   16th   day of   May  , 2006.
