ORDINANCE 2006-04

AN ORDINANCE PLACING A CERTAIN STOP SIGN AT THE INTERSECTION OF MAIN STREET ACCESS, COMMONLY KNOWN AS NEBULAH, AND HOSLER ROAD IN THE TOWN OF LEO-CEDARVILLE

WHEREAS, Indiana Code Section 9-21-1-3 allows the Town of Leo-Cedarville to regulate the flow of traffic, to alter speed limits, and to designate intersections within the Town’s corporate borders; and

WHEREAS, there exists in the Town of Leo-Cedarville, a right of way which lies west of, and parallel to, Wayne Street, serving as an access drive between Main Street and Hosler Road, commonly known as Nebulah;

WHEREAS, the council has determined a need to control southbound traffic from Nebulah as it connects to Hosler Road;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of Leo-Cedarville, Indiana:

A.       It shall be required for all vehicular traffic traveling south on Nebulah to stop before entering Hosler Road.

B.       This ordinance shall repeal and replace any prior ordinance that is inconsistent with this Ordinance.

C.       This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and upon its execution by the Town Executive as attested by the Clerk- Treasurer, and upon the placement of a proper traffic control sign at such intersection.

Passed and adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Leo-Cedarville, Indiana on this   16th   day of   May  , 2006.
